Finance Commissioner Minita Sanghvi and attorney Sarah Burger seek Democratic endorsement for Saratoga Springs supervisor

Current Saratoga Springs Commissioner of Finance Minita Sanghvi and local attorney Sarah Burger are seeking the Saratoga Springs Democratic Committee’s endorsements for the two seats representing Saratoga Springs on the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors.
The two positions are currently held by Republican Matthew Veitch and Democrat Michele Madigan.  It was recently reported that Madigan is planning to seek the Democratic endorsement for Saratoga Springs Mayor, which practically, if not technically, precludes her running for reelection for the Supervisor seat.  Veitch is running for reelection and Saratoga Springs GOP Committee chairman Mike Brandi told The Daily Gazette that he plans on endorsing a full slate of candidates, which indicates there is intended to be a second (as of yet unnamed) candidate for the second position.  He told The Gazette that the list will be released “in due time”.
With the recent nail-biter election for Commissioner of Public Works which resulted in an apparent, albeit not yet official, win for Republican Chuck Marshall, the political scene in Saratoga Springs is heating up early in 2025.  All five City Council Seats as well as the two aformentioned supervisor seats will be up for election this November.  Stay tuned.
