MALTA, N.Y. — The owners of Harvest Grain Pizza in Clifton Park have recently finalized the acquisition of the former Dunning Street Station property at 2853 Route 9 in Malta, a landmark stainless‑steel dining car diner that has hosted multiple restaurateurs over the decades. The purchase by Sakandari Pizza Co. marks the next chapter for the retro Fodero structure, which most recently housed the Dunning Street Station Bar & Grill, a well‑loved neighborhood destination that operated from 2015 until closing in June 2025 amid staffing challenges and co‑owner Scott Ringwood’s decision to focus full time on his Lake Ridge restaurant in Round Lake.

The owners of Dunning Street Station posted about their decision to sell on its Facebook page earlier this month, noting: “After an incredible 10 year journey, we have made the heartfelt decision to sell Dunning Street Station. We would like to sincerely thank all of our amazing customers and dedicated staff who made The Station such a special place over the past decade!…As we pass the torch, we are very excited to welcome a local group, Harvest Grain of Malta, as the new owners. We wish them all the best and know they will carry on the spirit of hospitality and quality you have all come to love.”

The pizzeria team has said that they’ll bring a new chapter to the building while celebrating its community roots—inviting fans of both institutions to eagerly await the next rollout of plans this fall.
