Roohan Realty Realtors Anne O’Toole and Cynthia “Cindy” Hollowood sell Cappie’s Drive-In of Amsterdam to New Owners

A Manhattan based partnership has purchased Cappie’s Drive-In on Route 67 in Amsterdam after 60 years of ownership by the DiCaprio and Durinick family. The business and home on the property were listed for sale last summer with Roohan Realty by Realtors® Anne O’Toole and Cynthia “Cindy” Hollowood and sold on January 30, 2024.

 

Donna and Craig Durinick announced the sale on social media, stating “As we bid farewell to Cappie’s, we would like to thank our dedicated employees, loyal customers, and trusted vendors. We appreciate the exceptional service and partnership of Realtors® Cindy Hollowood and Anne O’Toole and wish the new owners much success.”

 

Peter Michailidis, representing the new owners confirmed that the business will continue to operate as Cappie’s. Michailidis stated “We are honored to become the new owners of Cappie’s with its rich history and connection to the Amsterdam community. We intend to preserve its legacy as well as introduce fresh and innovative ideas that will enhance the overall Cappie’s experience. Our goal is to maintain the charm that has made Cappie’s a beloved institution, while raising the bar on multiple levels. We cannot wait to introduce the next chapter of Cappie’s.”
