SARATOGA-REPORT EXCLUSIVE: Former Leon’s Building on Crescent Street demolished

The building at 135 Crescent Street in Saratoga Springs is undergoing demolition this week.  The building was home to Leon’s Mexican Restaurant until 2016 and, for a short while after that, Blue Agave.

The building may be gone but it will live forever in the movies, well at least one movie.  The comedy Virgin Alexander, which was mostly filmed in the Spa City, used the interior of the restaurant for a couple of scenes.

It is unknown what will be built there, but it is worth noting that there is new housing going up across Adams Street from that location.  That small housing project was part of a Saratoga-Report story in November.
