Saratoga Senior Center and West Point Thoroughbreds Launch Community Raffle Offering Chance at Thoroughbred Ownership
Via Press Release
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (June 2026) – In a partnership that brings together two organizations deeply rooted in the Saratoga community, the Saratoga Senior Center and West Point Thoroughbreds are offering supporters a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of thoroughbred ownership while supporting programs and services that help local seniors remain independent, connected, and supported.
Community members can purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win an ownership experience through West Point Thoroughbreds–one of the nation’s leading racehorse ownership organizations. Thanks to the generosity of West Point Thoroughbreds, the winner will experience the excitement of thoroughbred ownership without the ongoing expenses typically associated with owning a racehorse.
Raffle tickets are available online and will also be available for purchase during the Saratoga Senior Center’s 16th Annual Music & Mingling fundraiser on Thursday, June 18, at Siro’s Restaurant & Bar.
For many, horse racing is synonymous with summer in Saratoga. This raffle offers a rare opportunity for community members to experience the sport from the owner’s circle while supporting a cause close to home.
“West Point Thoroughbreds has always been deeply connected to the Saratoga community, making this partnership with the Saratoga Senior Center a natural fit,” said Tom Bellhouse, Executive Vice President of West Point Thoroughbreds. “We’re proud to support an organization that plays such an important role in the lives of local seniors. One of the things we love most about this raffle is that it gives anyone the opportunity to experience the excitement of racehorse ownership while supporting an amazing cause right here in Saratoga.”
The raffle arrives as the Saratoga Senior Center prepares for its largest fundraiser of the year, Music & Mingling, now celebrating its 16th year. Widely recognized as one of Saratoga’s signature summer kickoff events, Music & Mingling brings together over 500 community leaders, local businesses, supporters, and residents for an evening of food, music, and philanthropy.
Held at the iconic Siro’s Restaurant & Bar adjacent to the Saratoga Race Course, this year’s event will feature cuisine by Chef Noah Frese of Siro’s and Noah’s Italian, an open bar, live music, interactive entertainment, and an exciting silent auction featuring prizes such as tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final, vacation packages, and other exclusive experiences—all in support of the Saratoga Senior Center’s mission.
Funds raised through Music & Mingling support the Center’s year-round programs and services, including transportation assistance, food access programs, caregiver support, palliative care services, health and wellness initiatives, educational programming, and social engagement opportunities that help local seniors remain independent, connected, and engaged in the community.
“Music & Mingling has become one of Saratoga’s favorite traditions for a reason,” said Lois Celeste, Executive Director of the Saratoga Senior Center. “It’s a great night out: incredible food, live music, and a chance to celebrate everything that makes this community special. The best part is that all of that fun helps us continue providing programs, services, and support for seniors throughout our community. And this year, we’re excited to give people another exciting way to get involved through our raffle with West Point Thoroughbreds. One of the things I love most is that our Saratoga Senior Center members receive two raffle entries with the purchase of a ticket. How often can you say that being a Senior Center member might help put you in the owner’s circle of a thoroughbred racehorse? That’s the kind of uniquely Saratoga opportunity that makes this partnership so special.”
