Saratoga-Report has learned that NYRA’s Oklahoma thoroughbred horse training track, located on the north side of Union Avenue across from Saratoga Race Course, is likely to open in the first half of June.

This news was initially tucked into a May 20 in a NY Times article about the Belmont Stakes, although it did not specify a date other than “ahead of a summer meet starting there in mid-July”.  Subsequently, various sources indicated to Saratoga-Report that NYRA planned on opening up the training track, which has numerous barns and dormitories for track workers, in the first half of June.  We will report more on this as the story develops.
