Sunnyside Garden Party Supports Secret Gardens Tour

Socialize and shop for Mother’s Day – and for yourself! – at the Secret Gardens Kick-Off Garden Party on Thursday, May 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sunnyside Gardens, 345 Church St., Saratoga Springs.
This annual event I, which is free and open to the public, will feature wine and nibbles courtesy of Sunnyside, a host of chock-full raffle baskets, and background music provided by Phil Drum.
Sunnyside donates a portion of proceeds from sales during the two-hour event, including the purchase of gift cards, to Soroptimist International of Saratoga County.
The party celebrates Soroptimists’ upcoming 29th annual Secret Gardens Tour, featuring 11 gardens in and around Saratoga Springs on Sunday, July 14. Tour tickets will be ready for purchase in May, both online and in person at several locations throughout the area.
Soroptimist International of Saratoga County, founded in 1979, is part of a more than 100-year-old global volunteer non-profit organization that strives to improve the lives of women, girls, and their communities. Proceeds from the Sunnyside event and the Secret Gardens Tour support programs and projects in keeping with the Soroptimist mission. Beneficiaries include Wellspring, the organization dedicated to preventing sexual abuse and assisting victims in Saratoga County; a program to develop confidence and leadership skills, and open doors for local high school girls; and awards to women heads of household overcoming adversity and furthering their education.
